(“Allurion”, “we”, “us” and/or “our”) collects, uses and shares your personal data when you use the website https://allurion.com/en and/or communicate with Allurion through another contact channel (collectively, the “Services”). Please note, however, that this Privacy Policy does not cover how we process your personal data collected via the Allurion Scale mobile application (the “App”). Allurion S.a.s. with its registered office at 11 rue de Tehéran, 75008, Paris, France will be the controller of your personal data. We collect your personal data through  your interaction with our Services. When you use our Services, you agree to the collection, transfer, retention, organization, consultation, processing, modification, selection, recovery, comparison, use, interconnection, blocking, communication, dissemination, deletion and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy, therefore we recommend that you read it carefully.

Your Data

Personal Data We Collect

When you interact with our Services we may collect personal data when you submit it to us in the following ways:

Allurion Elipse Programme: if you wish to learn more about the Allurion’s Elipse Programme, you will be asked to provide your information on our website such as your name, telephone number, email, gender, age, height and weight, post code or zip code, preferred contact method and your preferences in how you wish to proceed with Allurion’s Elipse Programme. Providing you agree, your information will be shared with our customer care managers who will arrange for an Elipse Advisor to contact you to ask you more questions and potentially arrange an appointment with your selected Allurion Clinic. You can also submit your details using our Body Mass Index (BMI) calculator to find out whether your BMI is below 27 or more than 27 and determine whether Allurion’s Elipse Programme might be suitable for you. Furthermore, we will ask you to confirm if you are either currently pregnant and/or if you have ever received abdominal surgery; this is vital for us to determine whether or not you can participate in the Allurion Elipse Programme

Allurion Clinic: to assist you with selecting your Allurion Clinic you will be asked to provide your zipcode or post code. Also, if your enquiry with us turns into an appointment or a placement, your selected Allurion Clinic may share your name and email address with us so we are able to determine how many appointments lead to placements of our Allurion’s Elipse Programme.  Clinics are operated by independent third parties and are not affiliated with Allurion.
 

Call with an Elipse Advisor: if you are contacted by an Elipse Advisor, the details of your call may be recorded for training and monitoring purposes.
 

Your questions: if you are a prospective or an existing Elipse patient,  a healthcare professional or other person who wishes to contact us with an enquiry in connection with Allurion’s Elipse Programme or have any other question or concern you wish to raise, you will be asked to provide your name, email address, telephone number, location and the details of your enquiry. You can also use our WhatsApp click feature on our website to ask for more information. If you use this WhatsApp feature you may be asked to provide your telephone number, location and your preferences on how you wish to be contacted.
 

Customer engagement: if you are a Health Care Professional and wish to offer Allurion’s Elipse Programme at your practice, we may collect certain personal data from you, or your representatives, such as name, contact details, business address and country.
 

Webinars: when you register for a webinar on our website, you will be asked to provide your name and email address.
 

Automated technologies: the servers hosting the website automatically record certain information about you when you use the website, including details of your IP address, software configurations, smartphone identification numbers and other data of a similar nature. Allurion may use this information to understand the manner in which pages of the website have been visited in order to monitor and improve the website. When you use our Services you may choose to provide your health-related information in order for us to determine your eligibility to join Allurion’s Elipse Programme or to respond to a question and/or concern which you have raised with us. This health-related information may include: details regarding your BMI and weight.

We will ask you for your explicit consent to the processing of your health-related information as described in this Privacy Policy, which you can withdraw at any time by contacting us at: privacy@allurion.com.

We process the personal data with your consent, to enable us to perform our contract with you and for the purposes of our legitimate business interests, as necessary for scientific research, as follows: To process any request or enquiry you make in connection with our Services, including Allurion’s Elipse Programme;

- To contact you via email, telephone, SMS or WhatsApp to ask questions concerning your eligibility to join Allurion’s Elipse Programme and, if the criteria is met, arrange an appointment with an Allurion clinic

- To notify you about changes to our Services;

- To improve and monitor the quality of our Services;

- To protect the security of and managing access to our premises, IT and communication systems, online platforms, website and other systems, preventing and detecting security threats, fraud or other criminal or malicious activities;

- To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations and requests, including reporting to and/or being audited or investigated by national and international regulatory bodies;

- To comply with court orders and to exercise and/or defend our legal rights;

- To understand how you visit our website, how you interact with us and to enrich your user experience, and to customize your relationship with us;

- To conduct scientific research relating to Allurion’s Elipse Programme;

- To enable you to register for webinars on our website;

-To send you information about healthcare professional organised events and;

- To send you communications about our products and services which may be of interest to you, as described in the “MARKETING” section below.  

If Allurion intends on using any personal data in any manner that is not consistent with this Privacy Policy, you will be informed of such anticipated use prior to or at the time at which the personal data is collected.

Marketing

We may contact you to provide you with information about products and services similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale or negotiation of a sale to you. You may be contacted by us or one of our selected partners.

We will continue to contact you for non-marketing related purposes where we need to issue a field corrective or safety notice, or to where we need to send certain information to you under a legal, regulatory, or ethical requirement.

Right of the users

Allurion does not share your personal data with third parties for direct marketing purposes. Some browsers may transmit the "non-traceability" signal to the websites with which the user communicates. We do not take initiatives to deal with these signals. If industry standards were established and accepted in response to these signals, we could re-evaluate how to respond to these signals.

Amendments to this policy
