SUMMARY FOR BUSINESS SYSTEMS ARCHITECT
Based in the U.S.
Allurion Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Business Systems Architect to serve as a strategic partner to our Technical Operations organization. This role acts as a critical bridge between business and technology, ensuring alignment between business processes and enterprise systems.
The successful candidate will build strong, collaborative relationships with department stakeholders, developing a deep understanding of their business processes, operational objectives, and technology landscape. Reporting to the Sr. Director of R&D and Technical Operations, this individual will proactively identify opportunities where technology can drive efficiency, scalability, and measurable business value across workflows and cross-functional operations.
This position will lead the ongoing support, optimization, and continuous improvement of our ERP system (SAP Business) and Digital Health Platform applications. Responsibilities include system enhancements, process optimization, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring system performance aligns with evolving business needs.

EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build strong, trusted partnerships across the organization to understand business-critical processes, strategic priorities, and long-term objectives.
- Translate business needs and strategic vision into scalable, technology-driven solutions and deliverables.
- Provide ongoing application support and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the business’s technology ecosystem, including:
- SAP Business (ERP)
- MasterControl (QMS, MES)
- SQL
- Power BI
- Azure/AWS
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance data integrity, collaboration, and integration—both internally and with external partners.
- Ensure Finance’s systems architecture supports business security, continuity, disaster recovery, and long-term scalability.
- Champion a data-driven mindset, ensuring timely access to accurate and actionable insights.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with SAP and other strategic technology partners.
- Continuously assess the technology landscape, identifying gaps and aligning systems with evolving business needs.
- Partner with the Sr. Director of R&D and Technical Operations to define and execute annual technology roadmaps.
- Lead and oversee system development, integration, and continuous improvement initiatives across enterprise business systems and the Digital Health Platform in collaboration with external partners.
REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3+years of results-driven experience supporting business functions and technology platforms.
- Strong understanding of core manufacturing operation processes.
- Hands-on experience supporting SAP Business
- Experience with API integrations across enterprise applications.
- Experience with Cloud infrastructure and management
- Proven experience leading and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Experience working with ticketing/support systems and delivering customer-focused support.
- Exposure to application or web development is a plus.

SUMMARY FOR CLINICAL SPECIALIST, U.S. (MEDICAL AFFAIRS)
Based in Natick, MA (U.S.)
Reporting to the Vice President of Medical Affairs and working full remotely across the U.S. (80% travel) the Clinical Specialist plays a dual role: (1) delivering high-quality clinical and medical education to internal teams and external clinicians, and (2) partnering with a CRO to help execute a U.S. post-approval study of the Allurion Smart Capsule. You will be a trusted expert in patient safety, education, and clinical rigor—elevating clinical outcomes, ensuring compliance, and maintaining safety.
EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Medical Education, Training & Proctoring
- Serve on the global proctoring team; plan and deliver medical training for internal personnel and external clinicians (live, virtual, and hands-on).
- Proctor clinical cases to reinforce best practices and patient safety; ensure adherence to the Allurion Instructions for Use (IFU).
- Develop clear, evidence-based training content, job aids, and assessments that drive competency and consistency.
2. Clinical Operations & Study Execution
- Lead day-to-day collaboration with the CRO to execute the U.S. post-approval study, managing timelines, risks, and deliverables.
- Partner with the Principal Investigator(s) to communicate study status, milestones, and issues; provide consistent, concise updates to internal stakeholders.
- Oversee quality checks across the study lifecycle to uphold Company SOPs, ICH-GCP, applicable regulatory standards, and patient safety.
- Support regulatory activities and dossier development; participate in FDA interactions as requested.
- Drive inspection readiness with study sites and adopt proactive approaches to regulatory inspections.
3. Quality, Safety & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Perform site audits to evaluate best practices and compliance with Company SOPs and the Allurion IFU.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure product complaints are recorded and reported per SOPs and patient safety standards.
- Champion continuous improvement; surface insights from training and field activity to inform product, clinical, and medical strategy.
ATTRIBUTES:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific/clinical discipline or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in medical education and managing clinical trials (medical device preferred), with strong command of ICH-GCP and U.S. regulatory practices.
- Demonstrated strength in teaching/presenting and technical writing.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and support cross-functional goals.
Ability to travel domestically up to ~80%.
Preferred
- Experience in gastroenterology or metabolic disease.
- Experience delivering medical device training and proctoring; familiarity with vendor/CRO management.

- Allurion Gastric Balloon System (AGBS) is indicated to promote short-term limited weight loss in adult individuals with obesity between the ages of 22 years and 65 years with a body mass index (BMI) greater than or equal to 30 kg/m2 and less than or equal to 40 kg/m2 who have had at least one unsuccessful attempt at a weight loss program.
- The residence time for each AGBS is variable with an average observed residence time of 15.3 weeks. The AGBS is to be used in conjunction with a moderate intensity lifestyle modification therapy program. The AGBS consists of up to two Allurion Balloons placed during a 10-month period.
